Vermentino Riviera Ligure di Ponente DOC is a classic white wine from Liguria: the vine has found its home here since 1300, probably coming from Corsica. It is a dry and harmonious white wine to be served chilled as an aperitif or as a wine to accompany appetizers, especially those based on fish and those of the local Genoese gastronomic tradition, such as savory vegetable pies. Colour: pale straw yellow with greenish reflections Taste: fresh and pleasantly acidic, with an almond aftertaste Fragrance: delicate aroma vaguely reminiscent of the scent of clematis in flower Serving temperature: 12°c The Lupi company has been operating since the early 1960s, becoming over the decades one of the points of reference for Ligurian wines. Just over 10 hectares of vineyards located in the most suitable areas: the Pigato in the areas of Ortovero, Campochiesa, Arnasco and Salea, in the province of Savona. Vermentino in those of Diano Castello and Cipressa, in the province of Imperia. The Ormeasco in the municipalities of Pieve di Teco, Trastanello, Pornassio. The Rossese area of Dolceacqua and Soldano. The Lupi brothers have also resumed the cultivation of the family olive groves, previously abandoned, combining the production of a quality wine with that of an excellent extra virgin olive oil, obtained from olives of the prized Taggiasca variety.
