Vermentino Colli di Luni DOC "Vigne Basse" is a white wine that comes from vineyards cultivated on sandy-loamy and pebble-rich soils, at an altitude of 50-100 metres above sea level, in the province of Massa Carrara, in that area of Tuscany on the border with Liguria: and in fact this denomination of origin - and this grape variety - is common to the two regions.
This Vermentino is a white wine that is excellent to serve chilled at a temperature between 8°C-10°C: it is a real pleasure to sip it in the summer, perhaps at a table with a sea view. It is a wine recommended to accompany fish dishes - both Ligurian and Tuscan - from appetizers to main courses; it is perfect with raw fish.
Savoury and drinkable, it is one of the best wines to offer as an aperitif, especially on informal occasions. In the mouth it has a pleasant elegant balance and while we sip it we can appreciate its characteristic aromas of aromatic herbs and wild flowers; slightly mineral on the nose.
