This Cônâ Valpolcevera coronata DOC proposed by Villa Cambiaso is obtained from a blend of Vermentino, Albarola and Bianchetta Genovese, varieties grown on the hills, suited to viticulture, behind Genoa. The process involves a prolonged fermentation on the fine lees at low temperature.
Villa Cambiaso is a family-run winery in Valpolcevera managed by the Cattaneo Adorno family of ancient Genoese origins. The vineyards, recovered since 2016 on the hills behind Genoa, extend for 7 hectares at 150 meters above sea level on an amphitheater exposed to the south-east, open to sea breezes and composed of sandy marls with strong acidity with quartz pebbles, basalts and slate outcrops. Lands in which purely native and carefully selected varieties are grown, such as Bianco di Coronata, Vermentino and Bianchetta Genovese.
